We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist in the subspecialty field of Learning Disabilities for an excellent NHS Trust based in the South East of England. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and create individual treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based treatment interventions, including medication management and psychotherapy, as appropriate.
- Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists, to ensure holistic care delivery.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to review patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to junior medical staff and trainees.
- Engage in continuous professional development activities to stay abreast of latest research, guidelines, and best practices in the field of learning difficulties psychiatry.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Primary medical qualification and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Consultant level experience in psychiatry with a subspecialty focus on learning difficulties.
- MRCPsych qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
