We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Adult Psychiatrist to join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team. 

Your responsibilities will include compiling patient histories from various sources, preparing case summaries and discharge summaries, and producing reports for Mental Health Review Tribunals and Managers’ Hearings while providing evidence when required.

You will play a vital role in liaising with other clinical teams both within and outside the trust, fostering effective communication and collaboration. Additionally, you will engage in communication with general practitioners and medical specialists concerning the physical health of patients, ensuring comprehensive care.
 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Provide medical treatment within a multi-disciplinary care model.
2. Compile patient histories from various sources and prepare case summaries and discharge summaries.
3. Prepare reports for Mental Health Review Tribunals and Managers’ Hearings and provide evidence as needed.
4. Liaise with other clinical teams within and outside the trust, promoting effective collaboration.
5. Communicate with general practitioners and medical specialists regarding the physical health of patients, ensuring comprehensive care.

 

Qualifications and Experience:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Full GMC registration
• Inclusion on the Specialist Register (or be within 6 months of Registration)
• MRCPsych qualification
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in general adult psychiatry.
