The General Medical Council (GMC) is the medical professional regulatory body in the UK. IMGs who wish to work in the UK will need to be registered with the GMC in order to practice as a doctor in the NHS. To be eligible for GMC registration, you must have a recognised postgraduate qualification and have achieved the required score in your English language exams.
