This is a full-time permanent Speciality Doctor position in Gastroenterology, based primarily at one site but requiring the post holder to work across other sites within the organisation when required.
Part-time and job-share applications are also welcomed. The post provides opportunities for continuing professional development, appraisal and revalidation support.

The post suits a Speciality Doctor with relevant postgraduate experience who can contribute to evidence-based clinical care, multidisciplinary working, teaching, supervision and clinical governance, while working flexibly across the service.

Essential Requirements

Qualifications & Registration

• Full registration with the GMC and a licence to practise, or eligibility to obtain this by the time of appointment.
• At least 4 years' full-time postgraduate training, or equivalent experience gained through part-time or flexible training.
• At least 2 years of this training should be within a speciality training programme or as a Fixed Term Speciality Trainee in a relevant speciality, or equivalent experience and competencies.

Other Requirements

• Full current driving licence valid for use in Northern Ireland.
• Access to a car at the time of appointment.

Desirable Requirements

• Higher qualification such as MRCP, DGM or equivalent.
• ALS certification.
• Formal training in teaching methods.
