An opportunity is available for a Consultant Psychiatrist (General Adult) to join mental health services in Australia through flexible engagement models. This role is suited to consultants seeking either permanent relocation or ongoing locum work with adaptable scheduling options.

Main Duties of the Job

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and management of adult patients
• Deliver consultant-level clinical leadership within multidisciplinary mental health teams
• Develop treatment plans aligned with recovery-focused and evidence-based care models
• Support continuity of care and contribute to service development where appropriate
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold professional governance standards

Working Pattern

• 3 weeks out of 4 coverage or full-time option
• Flexible rostering depending on the engagement model

Engagement Options

• Permanent appointment
• Ongoing locum roles (with 6-month approvals)
• Flexible, pooled, or rotating workforce models

Eligibility / Requirements

• Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry
• Minimum 1 year NHS experience
• Eligible via specialist expedited pathway (UK pathway supported)
