Breast Radiologist - Consultant

Are you a passionate Radiologist looking to specialise or continue your journey in Breast Imaging? A leading NHS Trust in the beautiful North West is expanding its breast services and is looking for a dedicated Consultant Breast Radiologist to join their dynamic and supportive team.

You will be working within a dedicated breast unit delivering both symptomatic and screening services, alongside experienced Consultant Radiologists and Breast Clinicians. The role offers flexibility to combine Breast and General Radiology based on your interests and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality breast imaging services across symptomatic and screening pathways
  • Contribute to the general radiology workload as per departmental needs
  • Support service efficiency and departmental initiatives
  • Participate in audits, governance, and ongoing education
  • Supervise junior doctors and engage in teaching opportunities

Requirements:

  • GMC Specialist Registration (or within 6 months of CCT at interview date)
  • FRCR or equivalent qualification
  • Strong clinical background in breast radiology
  • Ability to work independently and within a team

Desirable:

  • Broad clinical experience and a postgraduate medical qualification
  • Completion (or near Completion) of the RCR Breast Radiology subspecialty curriculum
