This is a fantastic chance to join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to innovation, education, and patient-centred care, with a clear focus on frailty and community integration.

Role Overview

  • Provide expert care to older people living with frailty across various settings.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in acute and rehabilitation services.
  • Engage in community liaison to support integrated models of care.
  • No on-call responsibilities – promoting excellent work-life balance.
  • Opportunities to contribute to teaching, research, and service development.

Teaching & Research

  • Active involvement in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, particularly with Swansea and Cardiff Medical School students.
  • Named educational supervisor responsibilities with support and development.
  • Participate in clinical examinations, bedside teaching, and formal teaching sessions.
  • Research activity is supported and encouraged through University Health Board affiliations.

What We’re Looking For

  • GMC registration and license to practice.
  • MRCP (UK) or equivalent.
  • Evidence of clinical leadership, multidisciplinary teamwork, and patient-centred care.
  • Strong interest in teaching, service development, and clinical governance.

Desirable Extras

  • Higher degree (MD, PhD, MSc)
  • Experience in service improvement, clinical research, or medical education.
