An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant in Clinical Oncology with a specialist interest in Urologica Cancers. The successful candidate will provide radiotherapy and systemic therapies for urological cancer patients, with a particular focus on metastatic prostate cancer.

The role will involve delivering radiotherapy treatments working alongside a Medical Oncologist, Specialist Registrars, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and prescribers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide radiotherapy treatments for urological cancer patients.
  • Deliver systemic therapies for metastatic prostate cancer.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including Medical Oncologists, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and Specialist Registrars.
  • Participate in a weekly MDT meeting for joint case discussions and treatment planning.
  • Contribute to clinical research and trials in urological oncology.
  • Engage in teaching, clinical supervision, and departmental audits.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
  • Higher professional training in Clinical Oncology.
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT, CESR/Portfolio Programme, or European Community Rights.

Desirable:

  • MRCP/FRCP or equivalent.
  • BSc or MD qualification.
  • Experience in clinical risk management and evidence-based practice.
  • Strong IT skills and ability to contribute to research and innovation.
