An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Obstetric Physician to join a growing Women's Health service in North West England on a 6-month fixed-term contract.The successful candidate will provide specialist medical care for women with complex medical conditions before, during and after pregnancy. The role includes leading high-risk Maternal Medicine clinics, participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing to the ongoing development of a regional Maternal Medicine Network. This is an excellent opportunity to work within an established multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality care for women with complex pregnancies.

Essential
- GMC Specialist Registration
- Ability to perform Hysteroscopies
Desirable
- Higher degree (MD or equivalent).
- Teaching qualification (PGCert or equivalent).

Experience & Skills
Essential
- Previous NHS experience.
- Full range of Obstetric skills.
- Experience managing complex maternal medical conditions.
- Experience leading high-risk pregnancy services.
- Trained Clinical Supervisor.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable
- Trained Educational Supervisor.
- OSCE Examiner.
- Intermediate fetal anomaly ultrasound scanning experience.
Leadership, Audit & Research
Essential
- Evidence of clinical leadership.
- Commitment to audit and service improvement.
- Attendance on management or leadership courses.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development through research and publications.
Desirable
- Quality improvement training.
- Management or leadership qualification.
