An opportunity is available for a General Practitioner with Anaesthetics skills to support rural and regional healthcare delivery in Australia. The service is currently seeking one full-time GP Anaesthetist to contribute to both primary care and procedural services within a multidisciplinary environment.

While GP Obstetrics capacity is currently sufficient, future opportunities may arise.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Deliver comprehensive General Practice care within a rural/regional setting
  • Provide anaesthetic support for procedural and surgical services where required
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe perioperative care
  • Participate in shared service delivery supporting community healthcare needs
  • Contribute to continuity of care and patient safety across primary and procedural pathways

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • GP qualification recognised for practice
  • Additional training/experience in Anaesthetics

Experience

Essential

  • Minimum 1 year NHS experience
  • Experience in General Practice and procedural/anaesthetic support

Skills & Attributes

Essential

  • Ability to work independently in a rural or regional healthcare environment
  • Strong clinical decision-making and patient management skills
  • Effective communication and multidisciplinary teamwork capability
  • Flexibility to support broad clinical service requirements
