An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant in ENT, Cancer, and Thyroid Surgery to join a leading healthcare provider in the East Midlands. This role offers the chance to work in a state-of-the-art medical environment, with a focus on robotic and precision surgery for head and neck cancer, thyroid, and parathyroid conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform robotic surgery for head and neck cancer with a focus on precision techniques.
• Carry out thyroid and parathyroid surgery as part of a comprehensive cancer care pathway.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
• Engage in training and mentoring of junior medical staff and trainees.
• Contribute to ongoing research and innovation in ENT and robotic surgery.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria:

• Relevant specialty degree qualification.
• Completion of Specialty Training (CST or equivalent) or within six months of achieving it.
• Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
• Proficiency in robotic surgery for head and neck cancer.
• Experience in thyroid and parathyroid surgery.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable Criteria:

• MD, PhD, or higher degree in a relevant field.
• Formal qualification in Medical Education (preferably at Master’s level).
• Experience and training in the da Vinci robotic system.
• Transoral robotic surgery (TORS) expertise.
