We seek an enthusiastic and committed Specialty Doctor in Emergency Medicine to join a dynamic and supportive team in a central UK location. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general inpatient care in the urgent care department and contribute to middle-grade care, covering 24/7 in the emergency department.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure comprehensive and efficient care across all shifts, with a formal job plan agreed upon with the Clinical Director.
- Provide 24-hour middle-grade cover in accordance with current RCEM recommendations, promoting a balanced work-life dynamic. The rota is self-rostered for flexibility.
- Work as part of a dedicated team, contributing to leadership and collaborative roles to maintain the high standards of patient care within the Emergency Department.
Requirements:
- Qualifications:
- MBChB or equivalent qualification.
- MRCEM or equivalent.
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
- At least four years of full-time postgraduate training, including two years in emergency or acute medicine (or equivalent experience at ST3 level or above).
- Practical skills suited to emergency medicine practice.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team, with both leadership and followership skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- A genuine interest in emergency medicine and substantial experience at a middle-grade level.
- Successful completion of English language requirements: OET (B in reading, speaking, listening, and writing C+) or IELTS Academic (level 7 in reading, speaking, and listening, and level 6.5 in writing).
- Experience:
- At least four years of postgraduate training, including two years in a relevant speciality training programme (e.g., emergency or acute medicine) or equivalent experience.
