We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant (Band 3) to join a leading NHS trust in the East Midlands. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and support as part of a clinical team. 

Responsibilities:
  • Patient Support: Provide compassionate and person-centered care to individuals within the community, assisting with daily living activities and personal care needs.
  • Health Monitoring: Conduct routine health assessments, including vital signs, and report any changes or concerns to the registered healthcare professionals.
  • Medication Assistance: Support individuals in managing their medication regimen, ensuring compliance with prescribed treatments.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses and therapists, to create and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with patients and their families, promoting a sense of trust and collaboration within the community.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, adhering to organizational protocols and standards.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care.
  • Relevant experience in a similar healthcare or community-based role.
  • Understanding of the implications for, and responsibilities of the post for Risk Management and Safeguarding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of others.
