Our client is a leading healthcare provider dedicated to delivering comprehensive mental health care services. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Specialty Doctor to join our team. This role focuses on supporting and enhancing the services provided by our Mother and Baby Unit (MBU) and Outreach programs, ensuring the well-being of mothers, babies, and families.

Job Description:

As a Specialty Doctor specializing in Mother and Baby Unit (MBU) and Outreach, you will play a pivotal role in the care and support of mothers and infants who may be experiencing mental health challenges during pregnancy or postpartum. Your work will encompass both the inpatient setting within the MBU and community-based Outreach services, aiming to improve the mental health and quality of life for mothers and their babies.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments of mothers, taking into account the unique needs and challenges they face during pregnancy and postpartum.

• Provide specialized psychiatric care and treatment to mothers and infants within the MBU, addressing acute mental health concerns.
•Collaborate closely with the Outreach team to facilitate community-based support, education, and interventions for mothers and families facing perinatal mental health issues.

Requirements:
  • MRPsych qualification 
  • PLAB or USMLE qualification 
  • GMC registration with license to practice in the UK.
