Radiology Consultant

We are seeking a dedicated and highly experienced Consultant General Radiologist with a specific interest in Genitourinary (GU) radiology to join an NHS Trust based in Northern Ireland.

As a Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality radiological services, with a focus on GU imaging, in a dynamic healthcare environment. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to diagnose and guide the treatment of patients with various GU conditions while ensuring the highest standards of care and patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and interpret a wide range of radiological examinations, with a primary focus on Genitourinary imaging.
  • Provide expertise in the diagnosis and assessment of GU conditions, including prostate, bladder, kidney, and other related areas.
  • Collaborate with urologists, nephrologists, and other healthcare professionals to guide patient management and treatment planning.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and discussions.
  • Provide radiological support for interventional procedures when necessary.
  • Supervise and support junior radiology staff, including trainees and reporting radiographers.
  • Contribute to ongoing quality improvement and research initiatives within the department.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Medical degree and GMC registration.
  • FRCR (Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists) or equivalent qualification.
  • Subspecialty interest and experience in Genitourinary radiology.
  • Proven experience as a Consultant Radiologist in a clinical setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
