Specialty Doctor - General Adult Psychiatry (inpatient)

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Specialty Doctor in General Adult Psychiatry to join a leading NHS Trust located in the South East of England. As a Specialty Doctor, you will play a crucial role in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adult psychiatric patients, helping to improve their mental well-being and quality of life. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating closely with consultants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to our patients.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric assessments and evaluations of patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Participate in the review and monitoring of patients' progress.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions and medication management.
  • Contribute to clinical discussions and case conferences.
  • Offer support and education to patients and their families.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Collaborate with the wider healthcare team to ensure the highest standards of care.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • GMC registration
  • MRCPsych or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in adult psychiatry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
