Diagnostic Radiology Consultant

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Diagnostic Radiology to join a leading Trust based in the vibrant West Midlands.

As a Consultant in Diagnostic Radiology, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional patient care, contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting and interpreting diagnostic imaging tests, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, ultrasounds, and nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement appropriate treatment plans.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to medical and nursing staff on the use and interpretation of radiological procedures and results.
  • Participating in clinical audits, research, and teaching activities.
  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient records.
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in diagnostic radiology and applying them to clinical practice.


  • GMC (General Medical Council) registration.
  • Entry on the specialist register for diagnostic radiology, or entry expected within the next 6 months.
  • Extensive experience and expertise in diagnostic radiology, including the interpretation of various imaging modalities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous professional development and research activities.
