Specialty Doctor General Adult Psychiatry

We’re looking for a full-time Specialty Doctor grade in General Adult Psychiatry (10 sessions) for a wonderful NHS hospital in Wales.

The hospital is based in a beautiful location which is fast becoming one of the most popular places to live in the UK. This waterfront location is a vibrant and desirable modern city: offering a great urban lifestyle alongside beautiful coastline and beaches.

This trust has an amazing staff health and well being service which aims to support all employees who work at the hospital.  They also have strong values which include: Caring for each other, working together and always improving.

Qualifications:

Full GMC Registration

MB BS or recognised equivalent

3 years full time post grad training (or part time equivalent), at least 2 of which will be in a specialty training programme in psychiatry or as a fixed-term specialty trainee in a relevant specialty OR equivalent experience/competencies.

The successful Doctor will have experience in:

  • Working as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to team approach and multi-disciplinary working
  • Working as part of the management team
  • Teaching and training of post/undergraduate medical staff
  • Evidence of participation in, progressing and completing audit

As it’s a University Health Board, there will be medical students regularly attending placements in the hospital. You will be expected to participate in informal support/teaching in the clinical setting.
