An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Specialist Clinical Pharmacist with expertise in Acute Care and Oncology to join a progressive healthcare team in Greater London.
This role is ideal for an experienced clinical pharmacist looking to further develop their specialist knowledge within a patient-focused acute hospital environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care, supporting multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to safe and effective medicines management across acute and oncology services.

Main Duties of the Job
Clinical Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist clinical pharmacy services within:
- Acute Care
- Oncology services
- Support safe and effective medicines optimisation
- Provide expert pharmaceutical advice to multidisciplinary teams
- Review and monitor patient medication plans
- Support inpatient and outpatient clinical services
- Participate in late shifts, on-call, and weekend service provision where required
Multidisciplinary Working
- Work collaboratively with:
- Consultants
- Nursing teams
- Allied healthcare professionals
- Pharmacy colleagues
- Contribute to patient-centred treatment planning and medicines governance
Governance & Service Improvement
- Participate in:
- Clinical audit
- Quality improvement initiatives
- Medicine safety programmes
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with professional standards
Teaching & Development
- Support training and development of:
- Junior pharmacists
- Pharmacy technicians
- Wider multidisciplinary teams
- Engage in continuing professional development and specialist learning opportunities
Person Specification
Requirements
Essential
- MPharm or BSc in Pharmacy
- Registration with the GPhC
- Minimum 1 year NHS experience
- Acute hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong clinical knowledge and patient-focused approach
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Desirable
- Postgraduate qualification such as:
- Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy
- Other relevant postgraduate clinical qualification
- Experience within:
- Oncology
- Acute Medicine
- Experience contributing to specialist clinical pharmacy services
