Our client is a leading Trust in the East of England. They are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor in Adult Psychiatry. 

Job Description:

As a Specialty Doctor in General Adult Psychiatry, you will play a pivotal role in the care and support of adult patients experiencing a range of mental health issues. Your expertise will help improve the mental health and quality of life for our adult patients, ensuring they receive the specialized care they deserve. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments of adult patients, considering a wide range of mental health conditions and factors affecting their well-being.

  • Provide specialised psychiatric care and treatment, addressing conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and other adult mental health concerns.

  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans that promote recovery and enhance the emotional well-being of adult patients.

  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team, including nurses, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive and holistic patient care.

  • Offer clinical leadership, guidance, and support to junior medical staff, contributing to their professional development.

  • Ensure strict adherence to GMC guidelines and ethical standards in all clinical activities.

Qualifications:

  • MRPsych qualification
  • PLAB or USMLE qualification
  • GMC registration as a doctor with a license to practice in the United Kingdom
